Basketball Game Preview: South Panola Tigers vs. Center Hill Mustangs

South Panola hasn't had much luck against Center Hill recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The South Panola Tigers will venture away from home to challenge the Center Hill Mustangs at 7:30 p.m. One thing working in South Panola's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last six matchups.

South Panola is headed into the game having just suffered their biggest loss since November 5th on Tuesday. They lost 87-62 to Olive Branch. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Friday (57), the Tigers still had to take the loss.

South Panola might have lost, but man, Demartric Houston was a machine: he posted 24 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jamison Smith, who put up seven points.

Center Hill fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back wins it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They secured a 52-46 W over Grenada on Tuesday. That's two games straight that the Mustangs have won by exactly six points.

Center Hill's victory bumped their record up to 4-7. As for South Panola, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-8.

South Panola ended up a good deal behind Center Hill in their previous meeting back in February, losing 56-39. Can South Panola avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
