After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Lewis-Palmer, Pueblo East was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Pueblo County Hornets, sneaking past 39-36. The victory continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Hornets: they've now won four in a row.

Enzo Pecoraro was the offensive standout of the matchup as he posted nine points along with seven rebounds and five assists. He is also on a roll when it comes to blocks, as he's now posted two or more in the last four games he's played. Jaden Garcia was another key player, putting up eight points and three blocks.

Pueblo County's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Cole Barger, who almost dropped a double-double with ten points and nine boards. The dominant performance also gave Barger a new career-high in assists (three). Another player making a difference was Lowry Kirkland, who had 14 points in addition to six assists and five rebounds.

Pueblo East's record now sits at 11-7. As for Pueblo County, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-12.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Pueblo Centennial the next time they take the court. Pueblo East will head out to face Pueblo Centennial at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, while Pueblo County will host them at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
