Foothill  took care of business in their home opener  (and then some) on Wednesday. Everything went their way against the Kennedy Thunderbirds as the Foothill Trojans made off with  a  10-3 victory. That's more bragging rights for the Trojans, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.
 Joaquin Carrillo made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he  struck out six batters over  2.2 innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. Carrillo was also solid in the batter's box,  scoring a  run while going 1-for-4.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Levi Price, who  went 3-for-4 with three  doubles, three  RBI,  and two  runs. The dominant performance gave  him a new career-high in  doubles.  Marcos Carbajal was another key player,  scoring two  runs and  stealing a base while  getting on base  in four of his five plate appearances.
 Foothill  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .548. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Kennedy only posted  an  OBP of  .276.
 Coming up, Foothill will be playing in front of their home fans against Highland  at 3:00  p.m.  on Thursday. As for Kennedy, they will be taking part in a tournament against Arvin  at 3:00  p.m.  on Friday.
