Volleyball Recap: Sandhills/Thedford Has No Trouble Against Sandhills Valley

Sandhills/Thedford won the last time they faced Sandhills Valley and things went their way on Thursday too. The Knights blew past the Mavericks 3-0. The matchup marked the Knights' most dominant win of the season so far.

Sandhills/Thedford never let Sandhills Valley on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-22, 25-12.

Sandhills/Thedford can attribute much of their success to Grace Johnston, who had 18 assists. That's the most assists Johnston has posted since back in October of 2024.

Sandhills/Thedford was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 12 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Sandhills Valley only served three aces.

Sandhills/Thedford pushed their record up to 3-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Sandhills Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-4.

Sandhills/Thedford has already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Paxton on the 13th. After both having extra time off, Sandhills Valley and Anselmo-Merna will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
