Immanuel Christian snaps six-game streak of wins at home

It was a good run, but the Immanuel Christian Warriors unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They were dealt a 83-39 defeat at the hands of Eastlake. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Immanuel Christian has scored all season.

Immanuel Christian's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ben Story, who scored 18 points. Story scored a full 46.2% of Immanuel Christian's points, the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Noah Ayala was another key contributor, scoring six points along with nine rebounds.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Eastlake to victory, but perhaps none more so than Lucas Brandon, who scored 18 points along with three steals. That's the first time this season that Brandon scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Aaron Vargas, who scored 19 points along with five rebounds.

Immanuel Christian's defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 15-3. As for Eastlake, their victory bumped their record up to 7-10.

Immanuel Christian and Bowie will round out the year against one another at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday at. As for Eastlake, they will square off against Odessa at 12:30 p.m. on December 28th.
