Softball Recap: Verdugo Hills Takes a Loss

Verdugo Hills lost against Chavez back in April, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Dons fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 4-2. The Dons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Lauren Brink made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with one stolen base and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Alyssa Parra, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one RBI.

Verdugo Hills' record now sits at 5-7-1. As for Chavez, they moved to 10-12 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Coming up, Verdugo Hills will challenge Eagle Rock at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Eagles will roll in looking for their 11th straight victory, something the Dons surely won't give up without a fight. As for Chavez, they will be playing at home against Arleta at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Mustangs will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each match than the last.
