Meridian had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They put the hurt on the Goochland Bulldogs with a sharp 6-1 victory on Thursday. The result kept Meridian happy, as they haven't lost a game since April 3rd.

Their offense was hitting Goochland from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Henry Brown led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by himself.

Meridian pushed their record up to 12-2-2 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 51 goals over those six matchups. As for Goochland, they moved to 5-10-1 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Meridian didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next game, a 5-0 win against Brentsville District on the 3rd. Goochland does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
