Dos Palos dropped their record down to 11-8-1 on Friday, which also ended the team's four-game streak of wins. They fell just short of the Coalinga Horned Toads by a score of 2-1. Having soared to a lofty 13 runs in the game before, the Broncos couldn't push the score so high this time.

Jayla Bland made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one home run. That home run was her first of the season.

As for Coalinga, their victory was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 14-6. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.1 runs over those games.

On Coalinga's side, Cabella Redding spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on three hits and racked up nine Ks. Redding has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.
