Basketball Recap: Santa Ynez Comes Up Short

Santa Ynez suffered their biggest loss since February 6, 2024 on Saturday. They came up short against the Arroyo Grande Eagles, falling 60-37. The defeat continues a trend for the Pirates in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now lost five in a row.

Despite the loss, Santa Ynez still got an impressive performance from Lucas Ollenburger, who went 6 for 9 on his way to 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jude Pritchard, who posted 11 points and five boards.

Santa Ynez's loss dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Arroyo Grande, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 4-8.
