Baseball Recap: Fluvanna County Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Fluvanna County extended their winning streak to three on Tuesday, bumping them up to 13-4. They never let the Monticello Mustangs get on the board and left with an 11-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Flucos, who have now won six contests by six runs or more so far this season.

As for Monticello, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-14. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat they have suffered since March 30th.

For Monticello's part, they saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Thomas Herring, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Fluvanna County will challenge rival Orange County at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Flucos 3, the Fighting Hornets 2.7) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Monticello is set to take on their familiar foe Albemarle at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
