Volleyball Recap: Shenandoah Comes Up Short

Shenandoah was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss dating back to last season. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Mount Ayr Raiders. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Mustangs of the 2-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2016.

Shenandoah's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Mount Ayr, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-4.

Shenandoah wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 win against Lenox on the 13th. As for Mount Ayr, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Bedford on the 13th.
