4A Conference 5 recap November 13, 2013
The biggest upset of the week belonged to Hopewell, who took down 45th ranked A.L. Brown, 19-14.
Adding to the longest winning streak in 4A Conference 5 this week, Mallard Creek beat North Mecklenburg 55-7. The win marks 11th in a row for the the Mavericks.
Hough's offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Josh Stilley threw for 123 and 1 touchdown and Caleb Hines had 52 yards receiving. On the ground Tylan Murrell contributed 88 yards. Will McIntyre helped Hough's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 24 yards.
Murrell was the most successful running back in the league this week. He ran for 88 yards on 14 carries as the Huskies bested Vance. Mark Fields II also contributed to the rushing game with 17 yards on the ground.
Hough's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Huskies feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Stilley has thrown for 2,131 yards and 24 touchdowns this season, while Hines has 30 catches for 842 yards.
Mallard Creek led the league in scoring this week by notching 55 points on the Vikings.
