Basketball Recap: Denton's Victory on Wednesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Denton put another one in the bag on Wednesday to keep their perfect season alive. They came within five points of losing the streak, but they secured a 52-47 W against the Plano East Panthers.

Denton's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ethan Ashu led the charge by putting up 11 points. That's the most points Ashu has posted since back in November of 2024. Another player making a difference was Adrian Cheadle, who put up 11 points.

Denton's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Plano East, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Looking ahead, Denton won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Eastern Hills at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Plano East, they also won't have to wait long for more action: they'll square off against North Shore at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday. The Panthers will need to watch out since the Mustangs have now posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
