The Los Altos Eagles will challenge the Menlo School Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both will really light up the scoreboard.

Los Altos took a loss when they played away from home last Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They breezed by Rancho San Juan at home to the tune of 34-2.

Meanwhile, Menlo School won against Tennyson last Saturday with 49 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Saturday. Menlo School came out on top against Carlmont by a score of 49-41. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Knights.

Jack Freehill went supernova for Menlo School, throwing for 176 yards and four touchdowns, while also rushing for 71 yards and two touchdowns on only six carries. The dominant performance gave him a new career- in total yards. Another player making a difference was Chuck Wynn, who rushed for 153 yards and a touchdown.

Menlo School's defense was in the mix too, especially the secondary: they snagged three passes before it was all said and done. The picks came courtesy of Ryan Jabal and Tyler Fernandez. Jabal didn't just play on offense: he also made three total tackles and defended a pass in addition to snagging two interceptions.

Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Menlo School was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 237 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Carlmont only rushed for 80.

The win got Los Altos back to even at 1-1. As for Menlo School, their victory bumped their record up to 2-0.
