Baseball Recap: Fillmore Comes Up Short

Fillmore came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Genesee Valley Jaguars, falling 13-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Eagles have suffered since April 18, 2024.

Fillmore saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Isaac Wilcox, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run. Wilcox has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played.

Fillmore's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Genesee Valley, their win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fillmore will host Canisteo at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Genesee Valley, they will welcome Franklinville at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday.
