Manvel has gone a perfect 10-0 against Alvin recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Mavericks will head out on the road to face off against the Yellowjackets at 10:00 a.m. After the two teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Thursday.

Meanwhile, Alvin made easy work of Sam Rayburn on Friday and carried off a 3-0 win. The Yellowjackets haven't had any issues with the Texans recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive victory against them.

One reason for the win was Alvin's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-19, 25-17.

Alvin's win bumped their record up to 13-22. As for Manvel, their victory bumped their record up to 27-10.

Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Thursday's match: Manvel has really dialed in their serving this season, having averaged 6.6 aces per game. However, it's not like Alvin struggles in that department as they've been averaging 6.2 aces. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.

Everything went Manvel's way against Alvin in their previous meeting back in September, as Manvel made off with a 3-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Mavericks since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
