After dropping their season opener at home, Palmer Trinity is headed out to face a Firebirds squad ready to give their home crowd a win. Doral Academy fell just short of St. Thomas Aquinas by a score of 56-53 on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Firebirds have suffered since January 4th.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Stephanie Vega, who went 7-for-15 en route to 22 points. The contest was her seventh in a row with at least 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ashley Martinez, who shot 56% from the field on her way to 14 points and five assists.

Meanwhile, Palmer Trinity put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They took down Immaculata-La Salle 53-37.
