Volleyball Recap: Summit Christian Academy Comes Up Short

Summit Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Adrian Blackhawks. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Eagles of the 3-2 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

The final score came out to 25-13, 25-19, 25-13.

Charlee Pollard paced Summit Christian Academy's offense, picking up nine kills. Pollard got some help from Rilyn Richards-Hamburg and her 22 assists. Richards-Hamburg was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Summit Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 7-11-2. As for Adrian, their win was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 14-5-1.

Looking ahead, Summit Christian Academy will take on St. Michael the Archangel at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Adrian, they have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Clinton on the 4th.
