Baseball Recap: South Warren Spartans vs. Christian County Colonels
On Saturday South Warren's undefeated season almost came to an end. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-4 victory over the Christian County Colonels. The Spartans have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Colonels, too.
South Warren got a great performance from Mikey Coradini as he struck out seven batters over six innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits. Coradini has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run any time he's pitched this season.
On the hitting side, Camden Page was incredible, going 1-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. He has been hot recently, having also posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Ethan Reynolds, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run.
South Warren lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.
