Soccer Recap: Grand Oaks Comes Up Short

After flying high against Cleveland last Tuesday, Grand Oaks came back down to earth. The Grand Oaks Grizzlies came up short against the College Park Cavaliers on Friday, falling 6-2.

Grand Oaks' defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 6-1 and their overall record down to 9-5. As for College Park, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season.

Grand Oaks and College Park should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. Grand Oaks will challenge New Caney at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday up 463 places (138 vs. 601). Similarly, College Park (ranked 111th) will meet Willis (ranked 615th) at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
