Baseball Game Preview: Bland Tigers vs. Wolfe City Wolves

The Bland Tigers will square off against the Wolfe City Wolves at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Last Tuesday, Bland didn't have quite enough to beat Sulphur Bluff and fell 10-9.

Matthew Leblanc was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Wolfe City). They were the clear victors by a 14-2 margin over North Hopkins on Friday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Wolves considering their one-run performance the contest before.

Bland's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Wolfe City, they moved to 6-7 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Bland came up short against Wolfe City in their previous meeting back in March of 2024, falling 6-1. Can Bland avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
