Mayfair found a leader in David Perez as the team took down Firebaugh on Friday. Perez didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched, good enough for us to rate the performance as the best he's had all season long. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.
