Volleyball Recap: Central Extends Winning Streak to Three

Central entered their tilt with Landmark Christian on Thursday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the War Eagles. The Lions were shut out 2-0 the last time they took on the War Eagles, so the Lions were just returning the favor.

While Central won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-20.

Willow Meadors paced Central's offense, picking up six kills. Meadors got some help from Abby Kreft and her 12 assists. Kreft also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Macey Mount, racking up three apiece.

Central's win bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Landmark Christian, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-5 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Central will welcome McEachern at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Landmark Christian, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Starr's Mill at 6:00 p.m.
