Soccer Game Preview: Redlands vs. Citrus Valley

The Redlands Terriers and the Citrus Valley Blackhawks will round out the year against one another at at 1:00 p.m. on Monday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Redlands' tournament run continued when they took on La Quinta on Saturday. Redlands took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of La Quinta. While losing is never fun, the Terriers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 984th, while the Blackhawks are ranked 364th).

Meanwhile, Citrus Valley lost 4-1 to Barstow on Saturday.

This is the second loss in a row for Redlands and nudges their season record down to 1-9-1. As for Citrus Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-6.

Redlands beat Citrus Valley 3-1 in their previous matchup back in January. The rematch might be a little tougher for Redlands since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
