Wachusett Regional extended their winning streak to three games thanks to a huge performance from Julia Vettese. The Mountaineers walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Groton-Dunstable Crusaders on Wednesday for which the team can thank Vettese, who had 13 digs and two assists. Those assists were her first of the season.

The match finished with set scores of 26-24, 19-25, 25-16, 25-17.

Wachusett Regional's win bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Groton-Dunstable, their loss was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 5-3.

Wachusett Regional didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Hudson on the 26th. As for Groton-Dunstable, they will square off against Shrewsbury at 5:15 p.m. on Monday.
