Calhoun Academy faced Kemper Academy in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Cougars blew past the Rams, posting  a  50-6 victory. Considering the Cougars have won four contests by more than 23  points this season, Friday's  blowout was nothing new.
 Carsen Stegall continued  his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 119 yards and three  TDs on only ten carries, while also throwing for 141 yards and a pair of  touchdowns while completing 72.7% of his passes. His rushing production has been exceptional  recently as that marked his fourth straight game with at least 119  rushing yards. Another player making a difference was  Bronnor Bingham, who gained 94 total yards and a touchdown.
 They were just one part of a punishing run game: Calhoun Academy was unstoppable on the ground and  finished the game with 234  rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  rushed for at least 160  rushing yards in 18 consecutive  matchups  dating back to last season.
 Calhoun Academy's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB  four times. Leading the way was  Jonah Clark with  two sacks.

The Cougars will be up against the Eagles' rather soft defense (which has allowed 54.5  points per  game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Kemper Academy, they will look to defend their home field  on Friday against Central Holmes Christian  at 7:00  p.m. The Rams will be up against the Trojans' rather soft defense (which has allowed 37  points per  contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
