Basketball Game Preview: Saline Hornets vs. Skyline Eagles

The Saline Hornets will face off against the Skyline Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Saline is coming into the match on a five-game losing streak.

Saline is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against Huron on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Saline was beaten by Huron 72-34. The Hornets were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 50-15.

Meanwhile, Skyline made easy work of Monroe on Friday and carried off a 58-35 victory. Given the Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 66th, while the Trojans are ranked 587th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Skyline has also been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.1 points per game. As for Saline, their loss dropped their record down to 5-10.
