Baseball Recap: Beulah's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Beulah had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Dadeville Tigers 4-3. For the Bobcats, this counts as revenge for the 3-0 win the Tigers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in March of 2024.

Brady Blackston spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on five hits. He also tossed a walk, which is notable because Beulah is undefeated when he allows at most two walks, but 7-9 otherwise.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Wes Grant, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3. That's the most runs he has posted since back in February. Jadin Hancock was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two RBI.

Beulah's victory was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 10-9. As for Dadeville, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-13.

Beulah will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Tigers: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
