Pleasant extended their losing streak to seven on Friday, dropping them down to 1-7. They came up short against the Marion Harding Presidents, falling 48-28. On the bright side, the 28- point performance marked the Spartans' highest-scoring matchup to date.

Despite the loss, Pleasant still got an impressive performance from Weston Shaffer, who rushed for 92 yards and a pair of TDs, and also threw for 182 yards and one touchdown.

As for Marion Harding, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-5. That 20 point margin sets a new team best for them this season.

Marion Harding's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kavion Norman, who rushed for 52 yards and two scores, and also picked up 33 receiving yards. Marcus McGary was in the mix as well, providing the Presidents with two TDs.

Pleasant and Marion Harding could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings. The Spartans will challenge Shelby at 7:00 p.m. on Friday with a big rank disadvantage (337 vs. 10). Meanwhile, Marion Harding (ranked 304th) will meet Galion (ranked 31st) at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
