Volleyball Recap: Yantis Comes Up Short

Yantis was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They came up short against the Como-Pickton Eagles, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-14, 25-8.

Yantis' defeat dropped their record down to 1-17. As for Como-Pickton, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 26-11 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Yantis will square off against rival Fruitvale at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Como-Pickton is set to challenge their familiar foe North Hopkins at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
