Baseball Recap: Southern Christian Snaps Three-Game Streak of Wins at Home

After soaring to 17 runs the game before, Southern Christian was a bit more limited in their game on Thursday. They took a 5-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lafayette Christian Cougars. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cougars this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 9-1 last Thursday.

Southern Christian saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brooks Pender, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Southern Christian's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-5. As for Lafayette Christian, the win was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-1.

Southern Christian didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 10-4 defeat against Evangel Christian on the 21st. As for Lafayette Christian, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, an 8-7 victory against Cherokee Christian on the 22nd.
