Soccer Recap: White Oak Victorious

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but White Oak had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Southeast Guilford Falcons a 1-0 shutout. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but White Oak were the better team in the second half.

Their one-goal win came courtesy of Rocky Vinson, who's now up to 12 this season.

White Oak's win bumped their record up to 8-11-2. As for Southeast Guilford, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-12-1.

Looking ahead, White Oak will head out on the road to take on Jacksonville at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Jacksonville will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something White Oak surely won't give up without a fight. Southeast Guilford does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
