Softball Recap: New Britain Comes Up Short

After flying high against Platt on Monday, New Britain came back down to earth. The Hurricanes came up short against the Middletown Blue Dragons on Tuesday, falling 11-3. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Hurricanes of the 17-2 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2023.

New Britain has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season. As for Middletown, their record is now 4-9.

Looking ahead, New Britain will be playing at home against Maloney at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. As for Middletown, they are taking a road trip to challenge Cromwell at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday.
