The home team had won the previous three meetings between Osawatomie and Wellsville, and Wellsville kept the tradition alive. The Trojans took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eagles on Tuesday. The Trojans haven't had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Osawatomie was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-22.

Madison Hampson paced Osawatomie's offense, picking up 12 kills. Hampson got some help from Lexie Palmer and her 18 assists.

Wellsville found their leader in sophomore Kailynn Rice, who had 12 digs.

Osawatomie's defeat dropped their record down to 8-15. As for Wellsville, they pushed their record up to 16-10 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home.

Osawatomie wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-1 loss against Anderson County on the 9th. As for Wellsville, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Iola on the 9th.
