Marion and Richlands are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2021, but not for long. The Marion Scarlet Hurricanes will welcome the Richlands Blue Tornado at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Marion is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.

On Wednesday, Marion lost to Graham at home by a 53-39 margin.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Richlands). They blew past Tazewell 61-22 on Wednesday. The victory continues a trend for the Blue Tornado in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now won nine in a row.

Marion's loss dropped their record down to 8-11. As for Richlands, their win bumped their record up to 6-16.

Everything went Marion's way against Richlands when the teams last played back in January, as Marion made off with a 55-29 victory. Will Marion repeat their success, or does Richlands have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
