Basketball Recap: Live Oak Classical Takes a Loss

If Live Oak Classical was riding high fresh off their 84-38 takedown of Keystone last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Live Oak Classical Falcons were beaten by the Gordon Longhorns 82-40 on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Falcons have suffered since December 5, 2024.

Live Oak Classical's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tristan Wilson, who went 6-for-15 en route to 14 points. Duncan Ogden was another key player, putting up six points.

Live Oak Classical's defeat dropped their record down to 25-5. As for Gordon, the victory was the 11th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 15-3.

Live Oak Classical has already played their next matchup, a 61-51 loss against Faith Academy on the 7th. As for Gordon, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Ranger on the 4th.
