Recap: North Garland Raiders vs. Garland Owls
The North Garland Raiders lost a heartbreaker to the Garland Owls when they met back in January of 2023, and they left with a heavy heart again on Tuesday. North Garland fell just short of Garland by a score of 53-51. North Garland lost against Garland in their previous head to head back in February of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 43-41 score last time.
Garland got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jayson Ward out in front who scored 16 points along with five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaierick Moore jr, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds.
North Garland has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost eight of their last nine contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season. As for Garland, the win got them back to even at 5-5.
North Garland will be playing in front of their home fans against South Garland at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. South Garland is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. As for Garland, they will head out on the road to face off against Lakeview Centennial at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Lakeview Centennial is out to stop a four-game streak of losses at home.
