Softball Game Preview: Classical Academy Caimans vs. Orange Glen Patriots

Classical Academy has gone 9-1 against Orange Glen recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Caimans will be playing in front of their home fans against the Patriots at 4:00 p.m. Classical Academy has given up an average of 8.7 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

On Monday, Classical Academy came up short against Escondido and fell 11-7. The Caimans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Kalia Gonzalez made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played. Sophie Subka was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Orange Glen was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 16-6 to Maranatha Christian.

Orange Glen's loss dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Classical Academy, they now have a losing record of 9-10.

Classical Academy took their victory against Orange Glen in their previous matchup back in April by a conclusive 15-5 score. Will the Caimans repeat their success, or do the Patriots have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
