Softball Recap: Rogers Takes a Loss

If Rogers was feeling good fresh off their 10-3 takedown of Lexington last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Pirates fell just short of the Lauderdale County Tigers by a score of 7-6 on Saturday. The defeat continues a trend for the Pirates in their meetings with the Tigers: they've now lost four in a row.

Rogers' loss dropped their record down to 10-15. As for Lauderdale County, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 15-10 record this season.

Rogers has already played their next game, a 10-0 defeat against Brooks on the 12th. As for Lauderdale County, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 13-2 loss against Mars Hill Bible on the 12th.
