Preview: Brattleboro Bears vs. Hartford Hurricanes
The Brattleboro Bears will head out on the road to face off against the Hartford Hurricanes at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Brattleboro had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They walked away with a 56-45 win over Mt. St. Joseph Academy on Saturday.
Brattleboro's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but John Satterfield led the charge by scoring 13 points. Johnathon Haskins was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Meanwhile, Hartford came tearing into Monday's match with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 31.5 points) and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against Mt. Mansfield by a score of 57-46.
Brattleboro's victory bumped their record up to 4-8. As for Hartford, their victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-1.
Brattleboro and Hartford were neck-and-neck when the teams last played back in January of 2023, but Brattleboro came up empty-handed after a 43-42 defeat. Can Brattleboro avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
