Volleyball Recap: Myrtle Beach Comes Up Short

Myrtle Beach was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Carolina Forest Panthers. If the Seahawks were looking for revenge after losing 3-1 to the Panthers when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

The final score came out to 25-10, 25-10, 25-12.

Carolina Forest got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Erion Tabaku out in front who had 17 assists and five digs. Tabaku has been hot recently, having posted 13 or more assists the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Alex Nikolov, who had 14 digs.

Myrtle Beach's defeat dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Carolina Forest, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-3.

Looking ahead, Myrtle Beach will be taking part in a tournament against St. James at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Carolina Forest, they will take on Bishop England in a tournament on Saturday.
