Baseball Recap: Yorktown Takes a Loss

Yorktown fell victim to Port Aransas and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They came up short against the Marlins, falling 14-0. The Wildcats haven't had much luck with the Marlins recently, as the team has come up short the last nine times they've met.

Yorktown's defeat dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Port Aransas, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Yorktown will face off against rival Refugio at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Port Aransas is set to take on their familiar foe Pettus at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
