Football Preview: Monroe Redhawks vs. West Stokes Wildcats        
        
		
             The Monroe Redhawks will face off against the West Stokes Wildcats at 7:30  p.m.  on Friday. Both teams are coming into the  game red-hot, with Monroe sitting on  11 straight  victories and West Stokes on four.
 Monroe is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup  on Friday. They breezed by Burns to the tune of  56-14. The result was nothing new for the Redhawks, who have now won ten matchups by 25  points or more  so far this season.
  Kaegan Chambers was  his usual excellent self, rushing for 65 yards and two touchdowns on only five carries, while also throwing for 141 yards and two touchdowns while completing 85.7% of his passes. Another player making a difference was  Zion Lindsey, who rushed for 75 yards and a touchdown.
 Monroe didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of  Jordan Young and  Jamari Clark. Monroe got some further help from  Jeremiah Lindsey: he made ten total tackles (3.0 for loss).
 Meanwhile,  it was a proper cat-fight when  West Stokes took on East Surry on Friday. West Stokes strolled past East Surry with  points to spare, taking the game  35-21.
  Lindann Fleming continued  his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 207 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 9.0 yards per carry. His longest rush was for an incredible 74 yards.
 On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to West Stokes' defense and their three sacks.  Kyle Sellers was especially locked on to East Surry's QB and sacked him twice.
 West Stokes was unstoppable on the ground and  finished the game with 272  rushing yards. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their  rushing yard total in three consecutive  matches.
 Monroe pushed their record up to 11-0 with the  win, which was their 13th straight  at home dating back to last season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 45.8 points. As for West Stokes, their victory bumped their record up to 10-2.
 Friday's   contest might be decided in the on the ground. Monroe has been unstoppable on the ground this season,  having  averaged 232  rushing yards per game. However, it's not like West Stokes struggles in that department as   they've been averaging 180.7. It's looking like  Friday's  game might have some serious battles in the trenches.
