Basketball Game Preview: Clear Creek Wildcats vs. Clear Lake Falcons

The Clear Creek Wildcats will venture away from home to take on the Clear Lake Falcons at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Clear Creek has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.

Clear Creek will head into Saturday's game hoping to keep the good times rolling: they had to skate by with only a two-point margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the 20-point drubbing they dealt Clear Brook on Saturday. Clear Creek was the clear victor by a 65-45 margin over Clear Brook. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Wildcats have posted since November 22, 2024.

Meanwhile, Clear Lake was able to grind out a solid win over Deer Park on Saturday, taking the game 54-45. Given the Falcons' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 255th, while the Deer are ranked 517th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Clear Creek's record now sits at 14-17. As for Clear Lake, their record is now 19-12.

Clear Creek and Clear Lake were neck-and-neck in their previous meeting on January 3rd, but Clear Creek came up empty-handed after a 51-50 loss. Can Clear Creek avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
