Baseball Recap: Germantown Takes a Loss

Germantown came into this matchup off a tough six-run defeat on Friday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the West Lauderdale Knights by a score of 4-2 on Saturday. The Mavericks' loss continues a trend for the team, making it three in a row.

Germantown got a good showing from Chase Boutwell, who tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Boutwell has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one hit in three consecutive appearances.
