Volleyball Recap: Neodesha Victorious

The Neodesha Blue Streaks beat the Iola Mustangs 2-0 on Thursday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Blue Streaks.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Neodesha took both sets by at least ten points. The final score came out to 25-15, 25-13.

Allison Stover paced Neodesha's offense, picking up 11 kills. Stover got some help from Kimmy Combs and her 13 assists. Stover also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Tiana Sanders, each putting up two.

Neodesha's victory bumped their record up to 18-2. As for Iola, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-12.

Coming up, Neodesha will square off against Independence at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. Iola has already played their next contest (against West Elk), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
