Basketball Recap: Trenton Comes Up Short

Trenton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 72-69 heartbreaker at the hands of the Brookfield Bulldogs. That's two games in a row now that Trenton has lost by exactly three points.

Trenton now has a losing record at 5-6. As for Brookfield, the win snapped their losing streak at seven games and leaves them with a 3-10 record.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Trenton will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Lathrop at 7:30 p.m. on February 3rd. Brookfield has already played their next matchup (against Salisbury), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
