Preview: Scott's Branch Eagles vs. Bethune-Bowman Mohawks
The Scott's Branch Eagles will be playing at home against the Bethune-Bowman Mohawks at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that the pair suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.
Last Saturday, Scott's Branch ended up a good deal behind Manning and lost 55-41. Scott's Branch has not had much luck with Manning recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Jordan Kind put forth a good effort for the losing side as he scored 12 points along with 3 steals. He scored a full 29.3% of Scott's Branch's points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Nyren Bowman, who scored 7 points.
Meanwhile, Bethune-Bowman's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They received a tough blow as they fell 54-35 to Orangeburg-Wilkinson. The game was a 22-22 toss-up at halftime, but Bethune-Bowman was blown out by Orangeburg-Wilkinson in the second.
Scott's Branch's victory lifted them to 3-3 while Manning's loss dropped them down to 5-2.
