Softball Recap: Providence Day Chargers vs. Charlotte Latin Hawks

Providence Day extended their losing streak to three on Wednesday, dropping their season record down to 7-9 in the process. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Charlotte Latin Hawks. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Hawks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 4-2 on April 15th.

Audrey Glosson was cooking despite her team's loss, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with four stolen bases. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last six games she's played.

As for Charlotte Latin, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-4 record this season. Winning may never get old, but they sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

On Charlotte Latin's side, not much got past Sydney Thune, who gave up just three hits and racked up 15 Ks to keep Providence Day off the board.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Irie King, who went 1-for-3 with one home run. Talia Hawa was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one triple and one run.
