Softball Recap: Quaboag Regional Comes Up Short

Quaboag Regional was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Northbridge Rams, falling 22-7. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Cougars of the 21-3 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

E Huard and B Sullivan did some serious damage despite the final result: Huard went 3-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI, while Sullivan went 3-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was J Boos, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Quaboag Regional's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Northbridge, they moved to 5-7 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Quaboag Regional will venture away from home to take on Auburn at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Northbridge, they will head out to challenge Blackstone-Millville at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Rams are facing the Chargers at the right time seeing as the Chargers are stuck on an 11-game losing streak.
